So we basically went from 50 degrees and rainy to 98 degrees and humid in the matter of a week. Other than living in the breeziest of clothes, a refreshing drink is how I keep cool in summer.
We went up to visit some friends in NYC a few weekends ago and it heightened our love for Mezcal by A LOT (El Buho is our current go-to). The smoky smooth flavor is perfect to drink straight, but Will loves trying new cocktails, so he got in the kitchen and started playing around. This cocktail is exactly what you need for summer – refreshing, light, & smooth. It looks like it’d be super fruity and sweet, but the smokiness of the Mezcal cuts the berries in the most perfect way. You’ll make this once and all of a sudden the ingredients will be a constant in your fridge this summer.
Blackberry Mezcal Cooler

1. Skewer three of your blackberries, set aside.
2. Add the rest of the blackberries, mezcal, lime juice & agave nectar to a cocktail shaker.

5. Shake shake shake.
6. Add ice to your glass. – we love these square and sphere ice molds.
7. Pour cocktail over ice.
