You read that right!

**Scroll down for photos and links from this amazing shoot, I can’t thank these vendors enough for capturing our exciting news so perfectly!

Will and I are becoming a family of THREE (well, technically five including the cats)! Whoa does that feel good to say! I can’t believe I’m finally able to share the news publicly! This has been the hardest secret to keep..EVER! We’ve told family and close friends, but sharing with all of you and finally being able to openly talk about it has been a long time coming!

I’ve been so MIA from social media, and my blog in general, over the last few months because it felt so hard to write about things when I couldn’t write about the biggest thing that was actually going on in my life. I even stayed away from insta story for the most part because I thought I’d slip up and say how much I miss wine or ask a question about the best cream for stretch marks etc. So now that the cat is out of the bag, get ready for the regularity to return!

I feel like I have SO much to share with all of you! I’ll break it down by the questions I’ve received the most and as always, feel free to ask more in the comments!

How far along are you?

: I am 15 weeks! We’ve finally entered the second trimester, which I hear is the sweet spot and I’ve never been so happy to be here!

Baby Clayton is due July 25, 2018!

When did you find out?

: We’ve known since the week of Thanksgiving! That’s 11 weeks. I am not one for keeping secrets, so I think I deserve some serious props here! We told our families right away since we were home for the holiday and because I’ve found out everyone grows VERY suspicious when I don’t have a drink in my hand.

How did you tell your family?

: This is the first grandchild on my parent’s side and the third for Will’s family. My mom has been asking for a grandchild since…well…forever. So we knew this was going to be good. The second we found out we rushed to Target and got a pair of booties for each parent and grandparent and placed a note inside saying “Grandma/Grandpa/Great-Grandma/Great-Grandpa, Please keep my booties safe, I’ll need them back in July. XO, Baby Clayton” We told each of our parents that Will had won something in a company holiday raffle. My mom was thrilled thinking she was getting a fitbit..I think she was okay with the alternative. I’ve never heard so many F bombs (the good kind) in one video!

Was your pregnancy planned?

: It wasn’t planned, but it wasn’t unplanned either. We took the steps to eventually start a family, but just assumed it’d take a little longer. We have a super busy year ahead of us including 4 bachelorette parties for me, 4 bachelor parties for Will, 4 weddings (3 of which I’m honored to be in!) and two other trips we already had on the books! Phew I’m exhausted just typing all of it! BUT that being said, we couldn’t be more thrilled to have this little blessing make its arrival this summer!

How are you feeling?

: I’m not gonna lie, the first trimester was rough. But not because of morning sickness (thankfully), which I had always associated with pregnancy, but the fatigue. This was a fatigue unlike any other. I spent weeks unable to move off the couch and falling asleep at my desk – convenient timing since we were also attempting to pack for the move (thank god for Will). I would even go into barre once a week, which I was used to doing 1-2 times a day, and basically lay in child’s pose. HOWEVER, I’ve got my energy back! It feels like a switch flipped as I entered the second trimester!

Cravings and/or food aversions?

: I haven’t craved much other than taco filling – which isn’t out of the ordinary so I don’t know that I can call this a pregnancy craving. During the first trimester I couldn’t stand the thought of leafy green vegetables, whether they were in a salad or cooked – no, thank you. We usually eat cooked spinach 2-3 nights a week, I took one bite at around 7 weeks and haven’t looked back since 😮 I finally started reintroducing salad staples slowly and we’re making progress.

Are you showing?

: Definitely. I’ve never felt this bloated before. It shocks me every time I get the update that the baby is only the size of a lemon or a lime because it feels like it should be the size of a watermelon.

Are you working out?

: Now that I’ve got energy back, I’m doing pure barre again. There’s a yogaworks near the new house that I’ll be starting in soon. I’d love to start taking walks, as I’ve heard its good for pregnancy, but this weather is making that a no go for me.

Baby Moon?

: So even with all we have planned this year, we managed to find a weekend to squeeze in a baby moon! Since most of the traveling we’re doing this year is either separate or with groups of people, we decided to take some time to spend just the two of us before we become a family of three. Since I’m spending so much time flying during pregnancy, I wanted something where we didn’t have to fly, so we chose ASHEVILLE, NC! We’ve heard so much about the scenery and the history, but let’s be real, the food made this choice easy! Give me all your recommendations!!

Will you find out the gender?

: Absolutely. The first pregnancy is FULL of enough surprises. We may already have an idea 😉 Stay tuned for our gender reveal!

What are you missing the most?

: This should pretty much be a no brainer. Wine. But I’m actually reaaaallly missing sushi and a real italian sub from local deli, Dipasquales too. I don’t know if its because I can’t have them or if because they were such big parts of my life, that I feel lost without them. Either way, I basically plan to pack a spicy tuna roll and a real italian in my hospital bag.

Well that feels like a lot for now! Enjoy these super special photos and stay tuned for updates throughout our pregnancy!

Omg CONGRATS!! Our babies are due just one month from each other!! I couldn’t agree more with you on the first trimester fatigue— it made working out literally impossible. And the wine. It’s rough. Ohh and I have TONS of Asheville recommendations! We’ve been there a bunch of times since we lived in durham,NC for a while, so let me know if you want some of our favorite spots!
